Good value scope for 10 22?
Just got a 10 22 and will be taking her to the range tomorrow. After that I want to go rabbit hunting with it. Any advise on a good scope for it? Something good, but not crazy expensive. I hear the 10 22 has a limited range and therefore going crazy with a scope is not smart.

Bought a Nikon ProStaff 4X32 Rimfire Scope for $99.95 last October I'm fairly happy with. Got it from Optics Planet and mounted it on my Savage Arms Model 64 using Warne .22 Rimfire 1" Rings . Rings set me back another $40.00 but that's because the Model 64 had an 11mm dovetail mount grooved receiver. I'd love to get me a 10/22 one day, and as for yours, I'm not sure but you might be able to use the rings that come with the scope.

This is the one I have on my rimfire;
Simmons 3-9x32 .22 Mag Rifle Scope
Or if you want one with an Adjustable Objective;
Simmons 3-9x32 AO .22 Mag Rifle Scope

The fixed objective recommended above is $42.95. Walmart carries a Center Point 3x9-32 for about the same price. I have the Simmons on my 10/22 as well, very bright with reasonably long eye relief for the price. Rings are a bit shabby but a $20 pair of Millets will work wonders.

I have two of the Simmons 3-9X32 .22 Mag's with AO like Canebrake listed on my two 10/22's that work great. For the $45-65 (depending in finish) they are hard to beat.
I also have a Centerpoint 3-9X32 .22 Rimfire scope that I got from Walmart for around $54 that has been a strong performer on my old .22 bolt action rifle. I really like the mildot reticle that it has.
Do yourself a favor and get some good rings for your new scope, you'll be glad you did.
