The reason I prefer the Eotech is the ease of getting to a consistent brightness, the Eotechs I have used separate buttons for brigther and dimmer. The Aimpoint has a knob that slightly clicks into place and the ones I have used are heavily used by the Military for training and the clicks are almost non-existent, it's hard to get back to a consistent brightness level.
I have several Aimpoint Comp M3/ML3s and the knobs are very tactile even after several years of use.
