Sorry to revive this thread. I too am looking at the eotech clones. I would love an eotech but not ready to spend the money. IMO the other red dots out there are ugly. No offense meant to those of you who own them. I read a forum on another sight where a guy shot several hundred rounds thru an sks with one on and it held zero. He also did a water proof test and a drop test of of the roof, all held zero. He shot his .444 with too.

Habe you picked one up and what are your thoughts if so. Id like one for my CLONE mp5 22 abd even try it out on my ar if it ever getd here.

Eotech and Aimpoint are so darn expensive because they are made here in the US!

Firstly, nothing good ever came from China. Ever.

Secondly, EOtech and others are "expensive" because they hold up in amazing conditions, hold zero, and don't fail when you need them the most.

Ive had a trijicon acog with my m4 in afghaniland ( just a joke I know its afghanistan ) and south africa and it went thur hell and back being slammed in up-armored doors and never lost a zero never cracked or anything. Thats the power and reliably of an american made optic bar none. Now granted its the militaries money that bought it because theyre about $1300 and better but they are great and hold up

My buddy got a couple from a distributor to resell and tried it out. zeroing it was a pain and by the looks of the build it would hardly hold onto a rail much less hold zero. That, plus the illuminated reticle was blurry and nearly invisible in daylight. Its an air-soft product. Thats what they were made for.

When i buy things.. i don't really care where were they made. China, Korea, Mexico and etc.. i don't care. There's no need and unnecessary saying i only buy US made or why support China. Don't be naive. Walmart products are from China. Cellphones are made or assembled in China, Taiwan and Korea. I only care if they are good and value for money. Sorry no offense. I just feel like those statements are kinda naive. Once again no offense.
Speaking of Eotech.. i agree with the others. Buy once cry once!. But we all have to know that not all of us have deep pockets or going to use them for high abuse usages. I do have Eotech and Vortex. I recommend them. Specially for Vortex Sparc, it's about $150 on PSA sale specials.
Or maybe Bushnell TRS25 for $80 price range.

Can you all see 70-80% of things you see everyday are made outside US?
Cos of non US products there are stores like Walmarts.. they provide employments and don't tell me you don't shop at Walmarts. I do shop there.
Aren't we grateful to have a wide selection of cheaper or alternatives products? We are the customers, good to have choices.

But you get what you pay for. Crap from China is crap, always has been, and as long as they keep things the way they are, it always will be.

EOtech isn't expensive because "it's made in the USA" ...it would be MORE expensive, absolutely, because of the higher taxes ... but EOtech compared to Barska is apples to oranges.

Top selling phones like iPhones are assembled in China while HTC phones are from Taiwan. No cellphones are made in US! Not to mention the latest technology of TVs though. Where do you think they are made?
