Docter Optics question.

I have a FNP-45 Tactical and I'm trying to figure out which red-dot to put on it. FN shows the pistol with the red-dot installed on their site but I'm having trouble understanding some of the terminology.

I've been looking at the Optics Planet site, here's what they have. They had another one that said it was a 7 MOA model, but it's not there anymore.

What am I looking at here? I kind-of understand the MOA thing but could use some clarification.

Thanks in advance!

The 7 MOA dot will equate to a roughly 7 inch circle at 100 yards. Far too big for a rifle or carbine, but acceptable for a handgun.

If the 3.5/4 MOA dot is available for your FNP, it may be the right way to go. Check on the brightness level, though. The 7MOA dot may resist washing out better in bright light.
