That way you have the option of turning your adjustment range from 2.5x-4x (hunting), to 8x (bench shooting & zeroing). Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Central IL Posts: 36 | I agree, that is why I am leaning towards fixed power. Perhaps on my 30 Bellm that I can use for deer in IL I may opt for a variable as this caliber is accurate out to 150 yards. |

Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Central IL Posts: 36 | I don't know if I would need all that power and doubt I could get a clear sight picture at high magnification unless shooting from a rest. I do have some Burris scopes with posi lock and like them. |
