When you say "Eotech style scope", do you mean a Holographic sight? or just a red dot sight?

I got my Eotech 512 used for 350.00. Well worth it.

I wouldn't suggest not getting anything by Eotech, Trijicon, Aimpoint or any of the other trusted brands. Cheaper scopes will work, buy they don't hold zero as well (I know from first hand experience). Now if this is just a range/hunting/fun gun, youre fine to go with the budget scopes and sights. If it's competition/self defense, save the money, get something that's been proven.

thanks for all the responses fellas. I ended up going with an ATN ultra sight. I like it a lot for what it is. It isn't as nice as some others but for the $80 i spent it will hold up to what i want it for. Here is a link if you wanna check it out.

13452 - Ultra Sight Daytime Red Dot Sight 4 Reticle Patterns Warranty

Can't wait to hear about how it works for you. When can we expect the range report?

A scoped AR without ammo - isn't that like a Top fuel dragster with no gas?
