Both,Bushnell and Nikon are decent scopes.The lense coatings that Nikon uses seem to be a little darker,IMO.
But I would probably go with the Nikon when it comes to having any customer service issues,Bushnell can be a real hassle to deal with if you have any problems with your scope.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up. What I like about the 4200 is the 6-24, power, although I have not researched it, does Nikon have that kind of range? and if so, what kind of price difference can I expect.

If you find it right you can get the nikon for $550 or a little better. The 4200 are not down below $400......

Ive seen the 4200 for around $440. and the Nikon $525 both a 6*24

I Have the 4200 6-24 fine target retical 1/4" moa dot and you can realy fine tune it. It also has 1/8" at 100 yards adjustments I don't know if the nikon has this.
I realy like mine.
