Default Bore sighting

Does anyone know if most places that sell optics do bore sighting? I know it's a newbie question but I wanna buy a scope for my marlin 795 and don't have a bore sighting laser or any experience doing it. Thanks.

Most gun shops offer this service.

Yes most shops that sell scopes or optics of any kind normally do bore sighting.
If you have a cheap laser pointer & a rest you can bore sight your gun.
I bore sighted my .22 bolt action with a laser pointer, I just removed the bolt, wrapped electrical tape around the laser pointer until it would just fit in the back of the gun where the bolt used to be, turned the laser on & put it in the back of the gun(I had to wiggle it a little to get it pointed down the bore), I put the gun on the rest in my back yard, then taped a target to the fence about 25yds away, pointed the laser in the center of the target, then zeroed the scope on the laser point.
When I took it to the range the gun was only about 2" off at 50yds, a quick adjustment took care of that.

you can bore sight just looking down the bore from the rear of the gun and adjust the sights until they line up with the image of a distant object as seen through the bore.

if you cant look through the bore start at 10 yards fire at a target if your on paper move to 25 still on paper move to 50 adjust sights until centered. move to 100 and zero.

note which way the shots drift as you move further out and adjust as needed. be careful not to over adjust only enough to stay on paper until you hit the 50 yard mark.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I knew there had to be a way to archive this on a semi-auto without a fancy laser.
