Default Bore sight device question

I was wondering if a inexpensive bore sight laser (Bushnell) could be considered already "zeroed"?

Or is there a means to check the zero?

I have a project of repositioning a rear sight on a CETME, and would like to think that using a laser bore sight would help on the first try.
I have to cut the current welds and reweld it on.

disassemble it removing the buttsstock portion remove the bolt group secure it in a solid hold look down the barrel from the rear on a target at 100yds and then align the sights with the image you see looking down the bore.

much more accurate than any "boresight tool". you still need to zero by shooting but it should get you on paper quiet well.

Jon is spot on. Actual bore-sighting beats the hack out of those expensive little "thingys" every time.
