I previously did a lot of research on the budget scopes and the Leapers scopes actually consistently get pretty good reviews, for stuff under $100ish. Plus they have a nice selection.
However, I would NOT get something with an adjustable power, just because the lower-end scopes likely won't have the precision to maintain zero after zooming in or out. Not to mention, with a fixed power you will get a smaller optic that is either lighter or more durable, and not to mention cheaper.
