I have a Tasco Pronghorn 3X9 scope on my 10-22 and I have never had a problem with it. It was $25 at Walmart, easy to install and very accurate. It also came with an amber scope cover which is really great for shadows and low light situations.

I got one of thoes on my henry 22 and it works good so far. It actually came on a 870 slug gun I got from the lgs. It took the abuse from that with out a problem. I took it off cuz it would pop ya in the eye every time.

Here's your answer!
People might think I'm crazy for buying a scope so expensive for a .22 rifle, but we all know that famous quote "you get what you pay for". For my Ruger 10/22 I bought a Leupold 3-9x40. Yes, that is a lot of power for a
.22, but if you know how, you can shoot that far even with a .22. I assure you that you won't have any problems with Leupold, and you won't have to worry about whether or not you can see what you are trying to shoot. I have shot many turtles close up and many squirells far off. Trust me, it is worth paying for the scope. I would definately buy this instead of some $30 Wal-mart scope. Keep this in mind. I hope that my message is helpful for anyone that is thinking about buying a scope for their Ruger 10/22.

I have a $50 Simmons 3x9 on my 10/22, and it will put them all in one hole the size of a dime at 50 yards. That is good enough for what I need it for. $200 rifle, and $50 scope, makes a good package.

Leupold 4X. Less than $300, and excellent quality. 4X is more power than you'll ever need for a .22LR

I purchased one of these for a 10-22 Custom in build. Not inexpensive – very nice optics.
If the Reticle image doesn’t show in this post just go to above link and click on reticle twice to see 10x page view.
