So are you really set on a .308? You can also build a 300 Blackout off of a ar15 lower, or a 6.5 Grendel or a 6.8 SPC.

When all the panic dies down I am planning on getting a dedicated upper in 300 blackout. It is basically a necked up .223 shell, so you can use your standard ar mags. My .308 is a bolt gun.

They may need to have their mouths washed out with soap but this fits in right here...


BTW, Brownells did the "backorder thing" to me with some minor stuff. It was in stock and then, surprise, the main things I bothred ordereing anything for were OUT OF STOCK they latr told me. I would not have ordered now if I knew they were backordered. Actually added a part I KNEW was backordered since I was waiting for a completion of the order anyway...
