Ar-15 optic?
I am thinking about getting some type of optic for my AR. I won't be using my rifle past 100 yards. I want to be able to shoot targets easily at 25,50,75 and 100 yards. Not sure if I should look for a rifle scope, red dot or acog. I don't have a very big budget somewhere around 300. Any suggestions?

The Vortex Strikefire is a solid choice also and less expensive. You can't beat Vortex IMHO at that pricepoint. I bought a couple right before Christmas at PSA for $119. They usually run around $169.

The vortex strikefire is a solid red dot. I have been running it on my ar15 for about 4 months now. Havent had any problems with it. Droped it a few times once in the snowy stream!! Oh yah still alive and i dident even have to rezero it. For under 200 you cant go wrong. I plain this summer to really put it through its paces. Let u know how it holds up.

Most likely a red dot, then a magnifier. My red dot is threaded on the eye piece and came with a 2x magnifier

Yup most of the time is a magnifier. You might also see a red dot or scope with night vision.
