Default AR-15 Close Combat Optic M68

I am looking for a close combat optic for my AR-15. I like the M68 that I used in the military and would like a something similar. At the moment I'm not looking to shell out more than $300. I would really like the Aimpoint COMP M4, but that comes with a price. Is there any other optics out there that are similar with a much lesser cost? Or should I save my money and wait until I can shell out the $$$$ for an Aimpoint?

Aimpoint pro patrol $400 at SWFA. That is the cheapest Aimpoint I have seen. A lot of the posters have Vortex Strikefire at around $150. If you want something inexpensive so you can save up, Bushnell Trophy TRS25 at $70-$85. I have a TRS25 and I just put it on my 10-22. Nice little sight with good battery life. I have had it on other guns including my AR. I took it off because I wanted some magnification. Went to a 1-4x24 scope.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to get the Vortex StrikeFire. From reading the reviews it's solid and if there is a problem they replace it no questions asked.
