anyybody have this spotting scope
I ordered it today, after researching and using a couple different brands at my gun club this one had great reviews in general the one that sold me was the guy that can easily see his .223 holes at 200 yards and his .308 at 300 yards.

cool, the wife and i are have chatted and decided we want to get one soon. but we are looking towards a burris i think. time will tell.

Using a Bushnell 12x36 x 40 right now. VERY bright scope, can easily pick out .17 holes at 100 meters. Have a cheap Chinese scope (20x60x60) that is not half so bright. At very high power, the stability of tripod DOES come into play.

Yeah in several of the reviews I read the tripod stabillity was mentioned and how important a good tripod makes especially when zoomed in close.
This scope didn't come with a tripod so I guess I'll get one this weekend.

Don't scrimp on a tripod. I've wasted a good bit of money on ?economy" models.
Spend the extra $30 to $40 and get a good solid one.
It will be cheaper in the long run than replacing the cheap ones regularly.

Bushnell doesn't seem to be a popular brand of spotting scope at private range I'm one of over 800 members. Don't recall ever noticing one of them. I'm not knocking the Bushnell brand. But if someone were to ask me a good brand to buy, based on what I've seen my fellow shooters use, I'd have to answer Kowa. LOL, but have to mention a couple of our members have purchased purchased optics used for star glazeing to use as spotting scopes. Must admit, after viewing thru them, they work pretty darn good as a spotting scope.
