An advice solicited on the choice of Scopes
I'm looking to gift my son a Scope on his 18th B'day. I don't want a costly one. Just under $150. Please help me choose between Nikon Prostaff 4X32 Rimfire Classic priced at $112.95 and Nikon Prostaff 4X32 Rimfire Realtree priced at $129.99, which I discovered at

Here's a Nikon Prostaff Realtree scope on my 10/22. I don't remember exactly what it is, but it's not a rimfire scope. It's way more scope than the rifle needs, but I like the looks. I picked the stock up online from one of the gunboards I frequent.
Here's a couple of clickable thumbnails to give you a visual:

You can't go wrong with a Nikon scope for under 150 beans, although, the camo not going to make it shoot any better. Only use the camo scope if the gun is camo otherwise, IMO, it's pretty tacky.

+1 for Optics Planet as well, they handle returns easily as well.

The only way I would spend the extra on the camo is if the gun was the same camo. (I wouldn't buy a camo gun anyways)....

here's my AR with a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x 40. It also came with a rangefinder good to about 500 yds, all for $300.
