1 MOA red dot /reflex sight
 

Anyone know of a red dot or reflex sight that has a dot 1MOA at 100 yards that is less than $200?

I'm looking for a reflex sight or red dot sight for my Ruger Charger (.22LR) and I'm looking to be cheap on this. I've seen plenty of cheap ones for less than $100 but they are usually 4-6MOA at 100 yards and that's just bigger than I am looking for.

You're asking for an awful lot there. The Aimpoints are available with a 2 MOA dot, but they're well above that price range. I believe that the Pride and Fowler reflex sight has a 1 MOA dot but again, its out of the stated price range.

A wise man once told me that poor men can't afford to buy cheap tools. Save up your pennies for a higher quality piece.

You might look at the Nikon Monarch, it has multiple dot settings 1moa-10(?) at about $250. ADCO has a 1.5 for about $200.00. I have no experience with either.

Check out the Vortex Strikefire. It is 1 MOA and is selectable
between red and green with intensity adjustment. I have one
on a flat top AR and one on a Ruger 1022. Mucho fun ! :D

I don't believe the claims of red dot manufacturers that claim their sights only subtend 1" at 100 yds...It would need to be an awful bright dot or a very dark backround to even see a dot that small... with the cheaper illuminated sights using a rheostat, a 1" dot may be possible at the lowest setting, but at that setting the intensity is so low you cannot distinguish the dot in normal light, and turning up the intensity increases the "flare" which increases the apparent size of the dot. I see no use for red dot sights on any gun that will be shot at 100+ yds....a low power fixed magnification scope would be cheaper and more effective IMO...unless you are in a combat situation...

Thanks for all the input. I checked out the suggestions you all mentioned. I think in the end I should save up for an EOTECH or Bushnell which I'm pretty sure is made by the same people who make EOTECH. I was at a gun show today and there are knock off EOTECH's out there but just looking through it I can see the difference, moving my eye off to the side and the reticle gets a shadow reticle behind it, I would think this would mean accuracy issues.

I know I was asking a lot but before I spend almost $300 on something I want to make sure there's not an quality inexpensive alternative that I'm just not aware of.
