I checked it every night and it was repaired on thursday night and friday I got the tracking number.

Sent it in on Sept 3rd... getting it back November 26.... I'm not real happy...

XD-S*™ Recall Update 11/22/2013

Dear Springfield Customer,

The upgrade process continues to go very well and we plan to meet or exceed the shipping commitments communicated earlier this month.

As a reminder, we committed to have all XD-S™ pistols – received at Springfield Armory® on or before September 10, 2013 – upgraded and shipped back to their owners by Thanksgiving, if not before. We will meet that commitment and we will continue to work on achieving the fastest turnaround times possible until the last upgraded XD-S™ has left the Armory.

They received mine on Sept 9th and my stays says fixed but I have not gotten a tracking number yet. I too am pissed.

If I'm not mistaken, this was Springfield's first recall, voluntary or otherwise. Faced with over a 1/4 million firearms involved, last I heard, I've no doubt it was a daunting task, especially if never attempted before. They could have ignored the issue once they couldn't recreate the problem in their facility, without modifying a pistol,....but they didn't. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't the easiest thing and it can make you the most unpopular person on the block.

I'm not trying to make excuses for SA....I'm a customer just like the rest of you. I'm glad they fixed mine.

The Fedex lady just brought my XDS 45 ACP about 10 minutes ago after about 3 months. There was a card in the case that said they were enclosing a extended magazine with an X-Tension sleeve. There is a 7 rd. mag included but it has a sleeve already on it plus another one loose in the bag. Maybe thats their way of enticing me to buy another 7 rounder. Its probably going to work.

Got mine back yesterday. Thanks Springfield for the mag but, it took awhile and the trigger seems heavier. Oh well I'll shoot it some and go from there.

I've heard several reports from owners that the XDS trigger is much different and heavier after the recall repair? Let us know what your experience is with the post XDS recall repair after a range trip..I'm still interested in a XDS,but would like to hear more input of the post recall XDS.
