Just bought a new xds, racking the slide seems to be more difficult, than my other guns! If I don't use a more concentrated effort or force, a round gets lodged awkwardly in the chamber! The grip safety is a concern as well. As some has shared, it takes noticeably more grip to disengage the grip safety!! These things are insignificant at the gun range, but might be a death sentence in a real life crises! Going to give it some time and rounds to see if I can't get comfortable with these issues! Love the gun, it's size, and it's accuracy!! But??

Ya know my xds never had one issue before the recall... and since I've got it back I can't tell any difference in it... still a flawless hand canon and I carry it with complete trust and confidence... mine is the 45 ... I don't really care for the 9 mm round but that's just a personal preference...

First Springfield I've ever owned! Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to!! There is plenty to love about this gun! But that's not what this thread is about or at least that's not the way I read it!!

The only problem I had with my XDS was pre recall in nature. With the extended magazine in, the pistol would not lock back after the last round fired. When my XDS was returned from the factory the pistol has worked perfectly with both extended mags. I don't know why and don't really care. It works.

Mine came back from the factory with a much more serious safety issue (after recall job done)... Check my post

Just got mine back post recall. Before the recall I had a thousand rounds through it with no problems at all. Today I went to the range and shot 200 rounds I had 12 ftf due to light primer strikes. And 4 times when I would rack in a round the trigger wasn't reset and would do nothing so I had to rack that round out and chamber a new one. I also looked at some of the ejected casings and about 3/4 of them the primer strike was not in the center.

I'm pretty disappointed. Anyone else have this happen.

Had approx. 700+ rds through my XDS 45 prior to the recall. Various ammo with no issues.

Since my pistol was returned the trigger is noticeably heavier. Also the take down lever works its way out from the frame ever so slightly. Not sure if it's related but may be due to a bad spring(?).

Even a single dry fire trigger pull will cause it to move away from the frame.

Anyone else had this issue? Likely just a coincidence.
