Here's a comparison between the XDS and Glock 36.

I have but don't find it considerably smaller than the G30 like the XD-S is. They just revealed the G30-S which is basically the G30 with the G36 slide on it...still double stacked mags but Still like how compact the XD-S is compared to both of those models

I am kicking myself for not buying that xds when I had it in my hand!

Could you guys shed some light on this so I can make a good decision? Any experiences and reviews of the XDs are more than welcome. Thank you very much guys!

Just to clarify I'm talking about the XDs 3.3 45cal
Mine does fine with cheap Winchester White box. You might want to think about picking it up in 9mm. You read that this gun is very manageable for its size, but it is very small for such a large caliber and IMO the alligator grip is not at all comfortable. I have a Shield ordered and if I ever get it may sell my XDS. That said, the XDS is a fine gun. Good luck finding one, not that easy even when the shelves were stocked.

I've shot the xds before and really liked it. Rented it at the range a while back. Was pleasantly surprised at the recoil. Didn't bother me really. Not gonna take it and shoot it at the range all day though. Just want it as a ccw during summertime. Not that interested in the 9mm version but not opposed to trying it out either...you never know! I'm sure it will be insanely popular and as hard to get your hands on.

I like it! How did you do that? Does it change anything performance wise or is it strictly for looks?
