Xdm accessories

Hey guys this is my first thread
I just got the xdm 40 with the 4.5" barrel.
Anybody have any suggestions on light/laser combos? I was looking at the viridian x5l, but I'm not sure if it's the best choice.

Spend your money on ammo and practice. That is my .02.
Welcome.

Stop by the introduction section and let us know a little more about you.

Spend it on ammo and practice! Look into that stuff down the road, ammo cost too much now and will only get more expensive! Buy more when you can, and practice, practice, practice!!!!

The Viridian series are great units IMO -
I bought a much cheaper setup for my XD Tactical 45 because I was'nt sure if I really wanted or would use it- Turns out its off mine a lot more than its on :o
BUT when I just leave it by the bed its on

Put a Streamlight TLR-2 light/laser combo on my XDm .45 4.5 and love it. They also have the TLR-2s with strobe light option to disorient the target. The downside to these lights is that if something goes bump in the night and you grab your pistol to investigate, you need to remember that you are pointing a loaded pistol at whatever you shine the light on. If that bump in the night is your kid getting a late night drink of water...
