Good review. Covered pretty much every base, and was thorough. Just says "I'll tell ya what a lot"!!

What do you mean? I don't think I used that phrase even once. :p

You're right. I got two confused. Sorry. Only thing I'd ask? Back the camera up a bit.

Marthor,
Just wanted to let you know that your review was as crucial component in my decision to check out the .45 XD, and next week I hope to be ordering it.
Will keep you informed.

When you have it in your possession, I can imagine no other outcome than total excitement and an explosion of satisfaction. When your three free magazines arrive a week later, you once again experience a warm joy rarely encountered. ;)

Your pointing out the three additional free mags and the mag holder was also part of the decision. It's too much bang for the buck. I am looking forward to it!!

In the video, I specifically mentioned 4 of the main "M Factor" details; however, there are more "M factors" as I briefly showed on the brochure, but didn't cover in detail.

To see what all the rest of them are click the tabs for Design | Technology | Innovations | Personalization at the bottom of the link to see all the "M Factors"...

Two questions: How hard do you think it would be to change out the trigger assembly to a match grade quality, and how do you think the XD .45 (or .40, since you raved on it in another post) will fare in IDPA competition? I'm considering getting into it, since I've found a location within an hour.

I'm pretty sure I've never commented on any 40 caliber since I don't own any and don't think I've ever made any pro or con comments about 40 caliber.

As for switching out a trigger assembly or competing, I don't have any experience with either of those things. I've changed out fixed sights on a rifle before, added a sling adaptor to a shotgun and changed out handgun grips before, but nothing more complicated than that. I'd also be interested in getting into competion shooting someday, but I've never done that before.

Maybe you could do a search with the search function on "changing out triggers" to see if you can find someone who's done that before?

Finding someone who's done competition shooting should be easy, but it's not me. :)
