Hey I'm looking into getting an xdm 45 compact. I have the 9mm full size 4.5 and love it but wanting a smaller gun for CC. How manageable is the recoil on that particular model compared to other top similar models like the glock 30 and others? Thanks!

Ive got the xdm 45 compact. Its only very slightly slower than my full size xdm 45 in getting back on target. Recoil feels the same as the full size just a slight bit more muzzle flip. I have shot the glock 30. The xdm compact blows it out of the water.

As for the xds i dont like the extremely small capacity. Better off carrying a revolver in 357. I think they dropped the ball by not trying harder to get a 7+1 capacity. Its 5+1 so why not just use a more effective round than 45acp.

Thanks Scott! I did hear and see videos on the XDS and may very well wait for it, but I may go with the compact for capacity reasons. Still undecided tho.

Btw when is the XDs 45 expected to be for sale? Heard its coming out in 9mm and 40 S&W too but not sure if that's true..
