XDm 3.8 45 Compact
Im seriously looking into getting one. I guess im looking for pros and cons about them. Shot an XDs last weekend and liked it but want a double stack. Any input would be great.

Also anybody know if they make a +1 mag extension for the 9 round mag or a picky extension for it? With the same grip style as the XDm.

Anybody? Nobody?

I have an XDm-45 3.8 compact and an XD-45 compact . Both nice pistols but I'd recommended the 3.8. Adjustable grip and a better trigger. It's also a bit smaller than the XD if you're planning to carry it.

As for magazines, the standard 13 round mags will fit. The 3.8 package will come with one and a 9 round. It'll come with sleeves that turn the 13 Rounders into an extended flush fit.

The 3.8 package is really nice. The pistol, a 9 round mag, a 13 round mag, mag loader, holster and spare mag carrier.

What is the size differences.... grip, slide width between the XDm 3.8 9mm or 40 to the 45 3.8 ? Got too look at the 40 and liked it but nobody has the 45 in my area other than ordering one....

I'm out of town right now replying on my phone. When I get home I'll measure it.

Ok thanks. I am looking forward to it

OK, here's the info.

Slide length 6.75 in. Width 1.069 in.
Grip length 2.090 in. with small grip insert. Width 1.255 in.

I don't have a .40 caliber version so I can't directly compare the two.
Not a micro pistol, here it's next to a S&W sw1911e for comparison.

Thanks for the info. That's a big help

Do you carry yours? If so what holster do you carry it in?
