Default XD with or without thumb safety???

With all things being equal (price, availability, etc.) which way would you go? I am about to order one and can not decide which way to go.

You're right. On second thought, I'd just buy another 1911.

And I would be inclined to agree with you. But that, unfortunately, wasn't the question....

Am I the only one who loves mine without? If I wanted a thumb safety I would have bought a 1911....

With! The new XD(m) version has some major modifications as well as the comfortable thumb safety (higher capacity mags, improved grip...though I didn't think that it could be improved!

x2 on with. Add to the list a new model from spfd that would be a single stack, thinner, model than the xd compact and I would be all over it for cc.
