My 45 xd tactical has been great.Ive put around 2500 rounds through it with mainly fmjs and never had one malfunction of anykind.Out of all the mods i have the springer trigger was the best and gives a light pull with very little travel. The xd to me feels the best out of all the 45 double stack mag pistols ive shot.

750+ rounds without a jam, feed, or extraction error in xd9sc.

Friend has one with 500+ rounds zero error.

Now over 2000 rounds on my XDm 9mm Compact.

I managed to break the striker retaining pin and damaged the striker in the process. Had a friend make me some dud rounds to use like snap caps, only they weigh enough that you can't tell the difference when loading. Seemed like a great idea at the time to help me with anticipation. One of them jammed the striker so bad it took some serious work to get it loose. In the process the striker retaining pin broke. Tiny piece got stuck in the striker itself. Another great idea bites the dust.

SA replaced the striker retaining pin with no hassles. My gunsmith found the tiny piece, removed it, and the gun has been flawless ever since.

Liked it so well, I just bought an XDm 5.25" Competition Series 45acp. Only have about 150 rounds through it so far. I love it.

Fired it several times with 0% FTF or FTE. Great sidearm that is dependable and accurate

I've had my XDm9 4.5 since November of 2011. Put over 2000 rounds through it and the only "malfunction" it's ever had was the slide not locking back on an empty mag. That would probably be a magazine problem though. I have NEVER had a FTF or FTE with my XDm. I'll never sell it since it's the pistol I used to qualify for my CHL earlier this month.
