Default XD .45 holster

I recently bought an XD .45 and I have to say that I love the gun. The only problem is that the holster that came with the gun seems to put some small scratches on the slide. It isn't that big of a deal as I dont want my pistol to win a beauty contest or anything, I just wondered if anyone else had encountered this problem. Thanks, Pilgrim

Personally, I never used the holster it came with. I have one of the Serpa Blackhawk holster that I love to death.

I also use a Serpa Blackhawk holster for my 1911. I love them. I actually cut off 1 inch of the bottom of the holster because I have a 4" barrel when the holster is made for a 5 inch.

I prefer leather holsters over synthetics. But then, I also prefer my Garand over plastic rifles.

I have not noticed any scratches from the "holster" that came with my xd45, but i haven't used it much. Maybe there is something stuck to the inside of the "holster". Personally, i'd have rather had an extra mag instead of the "holster" and the 2 mag carrier.
