For what purpose?? just target practice its excellent. 45acp has been used in 230grn fmj to put the enemies of america %&*$'s in the dirt since 1911 in one form or another. So its got a proven 100+ year track record.

my preference is 230 jhp. one thing about 45acp-it makes a big hole before any expansion. smaller diameter rounds need to grow just to catch up. magtech makes a good round. tried some in 44mag and special. both worked well.

Home defene and CC i use winchester PDX1 Dual bonded jacked hollow points and for practice ammo I normall run winchester white box 230gr or occassionally i will use federal even tho it is a "dirtier" round. A couple people have told me to look at the heavier rounds because they will expand better without having as much penetration say like a 9mm. so i opted to go with the 230gr hollow points..
