Default What!

I have it on good authority that a Colt will never jam...

Clearly that DI had never been to the desert where the dust and lube mix will jam your weapon to the point it requires brute force to unfreeze the bolt carrier!

Exactly. Enough oil good, too much oil bad.

Too much lube + Iraqi dust = single shot 25mm Bushmaster main gun on an M2A2 ODS Bradley. So much for full auto! The same equation also applies to M4's.

You do have a point about the lube and the sand. BUT remember not all troops deploy to the desert. There are other overseas areas that have troops present. I have been in the jungle and the desert and places in between. So yes lube is good and bad. FYI most of the DI's that were there when I went through were the last of the Vietnam and Grenda soliders. Been a long time ago.

SORRY, Colt's can and do jam. Not very often, but it does happen.

Can end this thread? Will and XD jam, it's possible but highly unlikely. End thread.

Hopefully no weapon jams when you need it.

DI had obviously never had a chick slip off the waterbed.
