Default Will a 40 cal bullet fit into my xd 357 sig

Ok I had a man today tell me you could shoot a 40 cal thru a 357 sig gun I'm wondering if this is true the guy is a general dumb ass so if anybody knows I'd like too know myself thanks

I believe you'd need to do a barrel, recoil spring and maybe a magazine change to do it. But as is the answer would be no, a .40 S&W round will not chamber in a bottleneck .357 Sig chamber

No the .40 is a larger caliber.

A barrel change would be needed, the recoil spring and mags are the same iirc. The 357 sig is essentially a 9mm in a .40 s&w case

You can use the same magazines but will need to get a barrel for .357 sig. No other changes should have to be made. Your RSA and ejector should work just fine.

Extractor in a chambered 357sig will work on
9mm and 40. +1 on barrel needed, spring for 357sig will
Work on 40,45, and 357sig. 9mm needs lighter spring. Mag for .40 will hold both that and 357 or vise versa.
