I believe you'd need to do a barrel, recoil spring and maybe a magazine change to do it. But as is the answer would be no, a .40 S&W round will not chamber in a bottleneck .357 Sig chamber

“Somebody has to speak for these people. Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this—they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people...better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.” Mal Reynolds Serenity/Firefly

No the .40 is a larger caliber.

A barrel change would be needed, the recoil spring and mags are the same iirc. The 357 sig is essentially a 9mm in a .40 s&w case
Just passing through...

You can use the same magazines but will need to get a barrel for .357 sig. No other changes should have to be made. Your RSA and ejector should work just fine.

Extractor in a chambered 357sig will work on
9mm and 40. +1 on barrel needed, spring for 357sig will
Work on 40,45, and 357sig. 9mm needs lighter spring. Mag for .40 will hold both that and 357 or vise versa.
