The more I shoot the Springfield's XD/XDM line the more I am convinced they are a thing of immaculate beauty infused with toughness, comfort and reliability. Just get one and never sell it. If you don't like it at first, don't worry it'll grow on you.

Picked up my XDM 40 today. It is a sweet pistol, super easy to take down and I can't wait to run some rounds through it! 16+1!

I bought my XDm .40 cal this past Tuesday, and have already put a little over 200 hundred rounds through it. I have been wanting an XD for a couple years now, and decided to own the XDm. Probably the best decision I have made in a long time. I went with the Bi-Tone, and it has performed flawlessly. I plan on putting it through a couple competition shoots and will post how stack up. If you are considering the XD, it is well worth the extra money for the XDm.

but the grip on the XDM is actually smaller in my opinion than a Glock 22 that has less capacity.

They made the grip taller instead of fatter and there is no extended mag sticking out of the grip.

It's a dream to shoot and if I had it to do again, I'd make the same decision and go with the XDM40.

I bought an XDM 40 this winter, but haven't really shot it enough to make any pros or cons. I have small hands so I used the small grip insert. Plan to shoot it in my first USPSA match of the year, on Sunday.

A week from now I'll be praising or cussing. Ha!

You haven't shot it enough to tell if it's good or bad, but you're gonna shoot it in a match?

If I plan on showcasing my skills in/with anything to anyone, I'm gonna make sure they exist first.

So, let's clerify using your definition of pros=good / cons=bad.

I have one con so far. That being the mag release. It is not smooth and crisp, at least on the specimen I have. Again, using your definition, this makes my 40 XDM bad. Or, should I say BAD!

Son of a . . . . . ! They won't let me return it for a refund, I am sure. What to do, what to do??? LOL

Pro (noun) a favorable argument, person, position

Con (noun) an opposing argument, person, position
