According to the 'smiths I have talked to the XD's are among the most difficult on which to change the sights. Absolutely requires a good sight pusher.

I let the LGS I bought my XD from change the sights.

I agree with letting a pro do it, im having the TFO night sights put on mine and i also hear its a bitch to do and you can break them of course, so you let a smith do it and if he breaks em he can buy you another set

Default SA Custom

They use Dawson Percision and they will install just send slide. Easy on S&H vs sending the frame which is $65 plus overnight.

However, to get a new adj sight machined into the slide is big bucks. IMHO all of us existing owners who want a sight upgrade should be given a goodwill or good faith discount. So far - no traction but if enough of us complain - the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Yeah, it's a long shot and in this economy there's little love or loyalty.

I'm just tired of receiving offer after offer from Sig on discounts to upgrade their gun and Nada from SA. Gotta give Sig credit though. They appreciate the business - novel concept ?
