I personally don't see it as being pocketable, but i've heard others pocket carrying it and larger guns. I really don't see how they do it though unless they are wearing larger pants with huge pockets. My Bodyguard 380 is as big as I can fit in my jeans pocket comfortably.

I personally would carry the XDs IWB.
What do I shoot with? Canon gear of course

I pocket carry mine from time to time. I use a Remora holster which was for a slightly larger gun and it stays in the pocket when I pull the XD-S. Keeps lint and stuff out of the gun and it can be grabbed and presented w/o any issues.

In my carry pistols like my M&P9c and Shield I always have Robar apply their great NP3 finish. With my XDs I thought I'd try a different approach and ordered one with the stainless slide. It was a little more money at $548 but I think the wear resistance will be worth it, plus I just like the way it looks.

I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.

I rented one today at the gun range and I just loved it. I was worried about what the recoil would be but after first few shots I got the hang of it. I just have get money saved for one now.

I agree with all the comments about the XDs. I bought one a month ago and really like it. I just put some Talon grips on and the feel is nice. Waiting to shoot with the new grips. Carry is either in cargo packets or IWB.
