Just a quick FYI for everyone that does not know about this, but there is Arredondo Extended Magazine Base Pad +3 for Springfield XD 45 ACP. Giving you a 16+1 magazine. I found them at Midway USA. Hope this helps.

Count me in for the Springfield XD. I currently shoot the compact XD 45 and love the gun. Very accurate for a compact and fits nicely in my hand. I recommend the XD to anyone inquiring about buying a gun.

I found this to be the case as well! but to say the M&P was "all over the target" is misleading. I can't get the M&P to shoot groups as tight as the XD but I can get dang close

I just bought a xd45 bi-tone 5 inch couple months ago. Granted I'm new to pistols(shot rifles since i was 5) but i can shoot 2" groups at 70'. It amazed me. So as far as I know very nice pistol!

Phelenwolf has you used the extended mag yet? I looked at it but was concerned about feed issues considering it uses the stock spring, have you heard anything about that?

Thanks! I will check that out. Midway has some 5 round SKS mags i've been wanting, but i didn't want to place a $17 order.

Default Have had the XD .45 Tactical for a year now...

And will not buy a Glock or Sig again. I was a 9mm guy for years due to early bad experiences with 1911s. The XD Tactical , out of the box, was such a pleasure to shoot, fit my hand so well, and scored great groups. I sold my GLock 19 and 22 and SIg P229.
I just ordered an XD compact for carry.

Over 700 rounds fired through the XD Tactical. And, every kind of 45 acp round imaginable was properly fed and digested.

My only problem now is finding enough affordable ammo to keep it happy.

Mondo, did you sell your 9mm pistols to finance the purchase of the XD .45?

The Glock 19 and the SIG P229 are pretty decent platforms. Congrats on your purchase of a nice .45 ACP.

1> Accuracy suffers at about 25 yrds.

2> The all black model shows alot of wear quickly, where as the bi-tone holds up quite nice

3> Not only are they made in Croatia, but Springfield had an add campaign that attempted to make anyone proud of buying American look like a fool.
