Those prices are reasonable but nothing to jump at. Check out gunbroker.com, auction arms.com, or use ebang.com and just watch for a couple weeks. You will find a deal. I saw an XD45 compact, with 4 mags, all new for $475 and like an idiot missed it. I guess it's good though, had I bought it I wouldn't have found my Kimber.

It depends on what the standard pricing is in your area. The price you listed is decent at best. You certainly won't be getting ripped off if you purchase at that price.

If you are worried, I recommend you shop around for awhile. Try a few different stores to get a feel for what's being offered.

Yea I plan to shop around
as far as online buyin I figure I will have to add a min. of $50 to any price I find for shipping an FFL fees

Is $70 the norm for the difference in a stainless slide

which I'm defenitly partial to stainless

I paid $575 for my XD45 tactical early this year. They did not have another with the 5"/tactical barrel, so i am unsure of the extra charge for OD. I felt like i paid too much after reading on a few forums, but i just went to three stores & bought the least expensive "tactical" model. I did find that it was an even $100 more at a local gunshop, within 30 miles of purchase store.

I have been very happy with its performance.
