Default Need some info and opinions from XD people.

Hi all, I collect all types of pistols to shoot and carry, mainly 1911 style pistols. My main carry pieces are my Colt defender and my Kimber solo. I have a Glock 19 that i really like and have carried it on numerous occassions. I have read some good things on the SA XDm. Can anyone recommend a compact SA XD or XDm in 9mm or 45acp that is a comfortable carry. Comfortable being the operative word here. Thank you, Ed

IMO if you carry a Glock, i can't see much of a difference between the glock and the XD/m

The xd 45 Compact is a comfortable carry. The shorter grip and 4" barrel reduce the bulk and aid concealment. Capacity is 10 or 13 with the extended mag.

Obviously the weight of 13+1 is non-negotiable as is the width of the double stack grip. Worth a look in any case.

XDM compact is a nice compromise on size... just a touch bigger.

I usually carry a SA XD40SC in a Don Hume Open Top and I find
it to be as comfortable as anything else.

I have the xd 9mm service model and also a g19... in terms of carry comfort-ability and concealment they are almost identical imo.
