I currently own a XD 40 service model. I have owned it for a few months. After shooting it I went and put a .45 service on layaway. Now I am trying to decide if I should stick with the service or go with the tactical model? Please let me know your choice and why.

I just got the XD45 Compact Tactical, I love it. The muzzle flip is very controllable. Having the choice of the short grip or by using the extended mag having a regular size grip, gives the XD more versatilty.
I currently own an XD .45ACP,the bi-tone with a 4" barrel. I have put a LaserMax internal laser on it for concealed carry, and i love it. It is comfortable in my hand, easy to shoot and is extremely accurate.

Have you had any issues with the LaserMax? I have read some people having problems with the recoil spring not being strong enough to cycle. Right now I am in limbo between a LaserMax or Crimson Trace grips.
