Wow! What distance?

And did you know that styrofoam NEVER degrades? I'm a tree-hugger.

About 15 yards. I too am a bit of a conservationist so I place a piece of newspaper under all my styrofoam targets before shooting. Easy clean up.

The XD40 service model was my very first gun purchase after I left NY. I really liked it a lot and eventually traded it for the XD45C that I carry all the time. I don't think you can go wrong wih the XDs. Fantastic, rugged pistols.
