okay well i went to the farm and shot 100 rounds.. they were all in about a softball size group from about 10 yards out but only 7 or so were on the paper.. i know i know really sucky shooting right.. well i was shooting a a .22 long rifle target and they were all down and to the left of the target. so i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a hold of a grip correction target?
Sound like you are a righty. . . correct? It's probably not your grip so much as your trigger pull. It is very typical for righty's to squeeze down and to the left. Get you some snap caps and practice in front of the TV or wherever until your sights barely move during trigger pull. Trigger pull is the most important aspect of shooting a handgun accurately, grip/hold is also important, but easily fixable with less time than trigger pull.
yep i'm a righty.. i knew it was either the trigger pull or my grip because my friend shot it and he was all on the paper all withing a baseball size group. but he was suprised with the kick of lil gun. he was shooting a .38 spec and swithched to my gun and was like "holy crap" and kept shooting..
well went and shot another 75 rounds and i realized that i just need to calm down when i shoot.. i get a lil too excited and don't take my time aiming at the target, plus i started working on fixing my hold and trigger finger position.. man that makes a difference.. i'll keep you guys updated... trying to get at least 500 rounds before my ccw class on the may 16th.
