I see you made your decision -- just FYI, I have the TLR-1s. Not sure I would ever use the stobe but I like the unit.

Looked at the strobe----like it but a bit exspensive for "experimentation" at this point

The strobe is worth the extra money in a dark room it is really disorienting to a would be attacker.
