Installing XS big dots on a XDSC
 

I have read that the factory sights are a real pain. Is it really that hard? I've done Glocks with ease. Has anyone here installed them theirselves? Thanks

Sights on XDs are a REAL pain to remove and the generic sight pushers will not even budge them. Even a hammer and brass punch will likely fail. Best bet is to have a gunsmith do the install or send to Springer...

NGIB is right, I know a guy who bent his sight press trying to get the sights of an XD. I would take it to a smith and let him change them.

I found a smith that said $25 plus return shipping and he'll have them in the same day. So it'll either be him or I'll check with my local gun shop and see what they will charge to just pop the old ones out for me. But thanks to you two I won't be trying!

I will say this. The XD9SC and Big dots are a match made in Heaven! A real good time!
