DIY Trigger job for XD45

I'm wondering if anyone has any information on how to take up the over travel on the trigger for an XD45 and if you need to replace any parts to get similar results as the Springfield Custom Shop's combat action trigger job. Is it possible to do it yourself or is it so complicated that a gunsmith should do it?

hey buddy, check out these guys, PRP~ XD & XDM Perfection!
I'm planning to get their trigger kit for mine.

That looks like a good kit. It is certainly cheaper than sending my XD off to the SA Custom Shop!

Yes it is! Talk to stalkingbear, I think he's done a couple but I could be wrong. He's got a lot of knowledge for an old redneck.

What's the cost of a complete trigger job on a XDm?

Thanks I've been there and seen that, but I have no idea what to buy or what it costs to install.

Anyone?

Thanks.

:)

My understanding is that it can be done with limited gunsmithing skills or equipment, meaning DIY. But I could be wrong.

It's pretty easy to put in the kit, I've done a couple. It's something that anyone with a lil bit of knowledge can do. Just be SURE to follow the directions exactly and you'll have no problems.

I'd probably be up for trying to install it

But I have no idea what to buy from them - help?
