Very true, I actually racked mine after reading this post, from chambering the first round to the last w authority and each round was spit out and chambered.

I got my xds a week ago and its chambers just fine from having it locked back or doing it manually you just have to make sure you pull the slide back all the way when chambering from closed. It is a very tight spring so you need to pull a lil harder but works fine

I have tried every variety of ammo known to man. It eats it all but still very hard to hand cycle the 1st round.

I have two XDS and have 300 rounds thru one and the only FTE was because a friend limp wristed one shot. When chambering a round, you MUST pull the slide back fully and release......do not try to ease it back into place or it will not feed. It has digested everything that I have fed it from FMJ to Starfire and Golden Saber.

My girl shoots my 5" Kimber a lot, but she doesn't like the XDS, the recoil hurts her hand.

Great gun and is my everyday carry weapon.
