Default Bought an XD today

I stopped by my local gunshop on the way to work today. He had a used XD in .357 Sig that he just took in on trade. I had an XD(m) a while back and did not like it. I thought I would give this one a try, I have never had a .357 Sig before. The inside looks like it has been fired very little and the outside is probably 90%, I gave $325 for it.

I am interested in getting a replacement barrel in .40 S&W that I can drop in. Does anyone know where to get one at a fair price? I looked at a few of them and I just don't want to have to pay $200 for one.

Sounds like a good buy!

May i ask what you did not like about the XDm?

You might try midwayusa for your barrel.

warrior, I got it at Sporting Arms in WInterville. Jerry and his wife Lisa have a small shop in a converted garage behind their house. They do not advertise or have a sign indicating a gun shop yet they are always busy, mainly because of word of mouth advertising. They have the best prices of any gun shop I have ever been in and by far are the friendliest folks.

Gojubrian, I can't really say why I did not like it - it just did not feel good in my hand and the trigger pull was terrible. I did look at midway and they are $200 there where as a drop in barrel for a S&W M&P was only $78. They both look alike to me!!
