That's hilarious that I'm reading this thread. Literally minutes before finding and reading this thread, I was browsing keltec's website to see if their S2K would accept the mags from my XDM-40.

I found that it doesn't, so I e-mailed them to see if they have plans to configure their S2K's accordingly. The XDM was the pistol of the year a couple years ago and they're only gaining momentum as they come out with a more robust selection.

+1 for the High Point. It is probably the cheapest firearm I have (including my .22's) but it is sooo much fun. It isn't the most elegant but it does what it's supposed to do. I'm also seeing things from Sweeper22's perspective. Usually I just want to have fun when I go to the range. I don't need a ballistic coefficient of .5 and higher to do that. There are times that I am trying to practice with my CCW for the sake of proficiency. But if this hobby quits being fun, I'm selling all my $h1t and finding something better to do.

For You I pick the Hi Point model 995 9mm carbine with forward assist handle.
I actually sold two of them at the last gunshow!

I just traded my Keltec Sub 2000 for the XD9 with 5" barrel. The Keltec was fun to shoot. However, the stock was a little short. It was an inexpensive carbine but I think you need the stock extension and the forarm with the rails. Now it is not inexpensive. I do not think there is a carbine that will take the XD mag. I think the Marlin Camp 9 would be a nice 9mm carbine. They are hard to find and may cost up to $475. They Camp 9 takes the S&W mag.

Default I have heard ....

That the just right carbine may take a few different mags, including glock and XDM.. 9mm

Just Right also states that the mag wells can be changed to use other brands of magazines

Hope that helps.
