Guess what? 9mm +P in every case is the same or more recoil than a .40. You should practice with what you carry and no caliber transfers over to real world recoil and ballistics like .40. When was the last time you saw someone do 200-300 rounds of +P hollow points through their 45 or 9 at the range? Didn't think so....
Excellent point - I have the XDM 9 and it is mild mannered w 115 gr fodder. Some gun writer pointed out 124 & 147 gr +P rds - especially in CC guns can be quite a handful and it loses the "mild mannered" aspect.

Can't wait for 9mm prices to go back to under $10 a box. Makes practice a whole lot cheaper. 40 cal has always been priced close to 45 prices.

Not sure if 9mm is cheaper to reload.
