Leaning up against the wall in the corner of my room about 4 inches of arms length if I'm in bed. No kids so it's loaded with 00 buck.

Default where do I keep my shotgun?

It's not important for you to know where I keep my shotgun; it's only important for you know it is loaded.

Keep the shotgun loaded in the corner of the room next to the bedroom door. And a pistol in each night stand loaded with a flashlight next to each of them. Oh, and my pit bull sleeping on the bed or on his bed right in front of the bedroom door.

I keep mine loaded with 4+1 on the wingback chair next to my bed. There was some gun violence here recently so I've started doing that. Prior to that though, I kept it unloaded behind my coats in the closet with a trigger lock to help protect it in the event I get robbed they might not find it. I don't have room for a safe...

OMG how FUNNY!

Guys - it is the INTERNET. A few things to consider:

  • Nobody knows where you live, based on your reply.
  • Thus, nobody can decide to 'google earth' your house
  • Thus, nobody will try to figure out where you keep the stuff you claim to have
  • Chances are, nobody will ever PLAN to rob your house. They will rob your house based on an on-the-spot, or very-recent opportunity.
  • Some of y'all seem to be HOPING for the chance of a home-invasion

If the FEDS are looking at this, "I HAVE NO FIREARMS". If they are NOT...

Pistol on/in each night stand, loaded, un-chambered. Figure-button-thing safes. Fit nicely. Using Glaser blue-tips in each pistol. Shotty with two less-than lethal, then two slugs, then buckshot. That's my plan. That and Claymores, daisy-chained around the yard.

Some new cameras and smartphones will actually tag the photo with the GPS coordinates of where it was taken, so this statement is not completely true (though I'm not certain where your concern is stemming from in the first place). I've actually found the address of one of our CA members this way when he posted a pic of his 39.
