I bought a stainless Fossil at the local outlet for $30 about 4 years ago. Changed the battery about one year ago. My jewler was impressed. He said the movement was the exact 5 jewel movement used on the $400 Seiko dive watches. Not bad for $30.

My skin is very corrosive. I only wear 100-150 meter rated screw back stainless steel watches. Anything else will give out after 6 months.

I've had good luck with a G-Shock 3050 for almost six years now. The thing is indestructible as far as the wear and tear I put on it. I've hit the crystal pretty hard some times and immediately thought, "Ah crap, I need a new watch", then I looked at it and not even a scratch. The thing is solar powered and I haven't had to change the battery yet.

I don't have personal experience with this one, but seems like a good pedigree (movement by Citizen) and the price is right.

It is a beast. My shooting partner just bought a Maratac and loves it. It is flipping huge, though.
