It's Cree, here it is on Amazon, that's where I ordered it.

I highly doubt it too. I bought it because it was only $8 because if it does have 1600 or 1000 lumens (Cree's website says that the LED has 1000) then I got an amazing deal, but if it doesn't (and I'm 99% sure it doesn't) then I'm only out $8 and it still has a strobe light, which I think is pretty cool.

just remember you get what you pay for. i have several inexpensive flashlights that i keep around for various uses. they serve a purpose as in if they get lost or broken it's no huge loss. but i also spend a bit more for much higher quality lights that will perform under any adverse conditions and can take a tank rolling over them and still work.

none of my flashlights are really considered tactical. mine serve a purpose and do it quite well.

again, what is the definition of a tactical flashlight?

No idea about the definition of "tactical" on most products. But as far as you get what you pay for I would say that is true to a point. I biught the $3 with free shipping 200 lumen flashlight from amazon. Ill post some pics later comparing it to a maglite that takes 3 D's this takes 1 AA. I wouldnt take this light into combat or if I were a police officer trusting my life to my ability to see someone hiding in the dark but its hands down my choice for lights around the house in case I lose power.

i agree. i have flashlights that range from inexpensive to expensive. they all serve a specific purpose or need.

one thing i like about my rechargeable Streamlights are the charging bases. i have them in the house and have them mounted in my truck. even if i lost power in the house, and they needed charging, i can recharge them in the truck.
