I am looking to push some lumens out of my G3. I thinks it's barley over 100 lumens now.

I wanna get much higher. I mean it's using 3 batteries. I am looking for direction in doing this.

Idk what to tell you man,the only thing I could think to accomplish more lumens than the manufacturers listed Max is maybe some kind of aftermarket bulb?

I carry a streamlight tlr-2,its got a pocket clip on it and is only about 4.5 inches long and about the width of my thumb. So when I clip it next to my wallet in my back pocket I never know the difference. Its waaay less than surefire lights at only about 50 dollars and the little thing puts out a whopping 180 lumens. I know many love surefire lights but a can't justify spending 150+ on a EDC light when my streamlight does more than an adequate job and puts up with my abuse and asks for more. Oh And did I mention its a third of the cost?

I got the G3 for clearance price of 25.00 so I don't mind upgrading the light.

I like the G3 because of its size. You can easily handle it and not drop it.

So if anybody has any drop in tips for the lamp or what not let me know. Thanks

Im taking it You got a deal,not familiar with the g3 but all the surefires I saw when I was shopping around for a edc light were super expensive.

Try Googling surefire g3 aftermarket lamps or something along those lines

Try dealextreme.com it is out of china and takes anywhere from a week to a month and a half to get what you ordered. I bought recharge 123 lithium with built in circuit board and it blew my factory surefire 120 lumens bulb. Upgraded to a led from there and a little fitting would have to say it is 250-300 lumens. Very bright long runtime. So for 4 batteries 1 bulb and charger I have a very bright long lasting rechargeable light. The upgrades cost me around $15.
